Elsinboro is a township in Salem County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the township population was a little more than one thousand people. Elsinboro was the site of the first English settlement in the State of New Jersey.
The township has a total area of about thirteen square miles, of which twelve square miles are land and one square mile is water. The Salem River flows along a portion of the township’s northern boundary, and Alloways Creek flows along its southern boundary.
Elsinboro has many lovely home and is perhaps most famous for one once belonging to the Nicholson and Abel families.
Elsinboro Township borders Pennsville, Salem, and Lower Alloways Creek Township. Elsinboro also borders the Delaware Bay.
